I have always identified with the cello's versatility and highly emotional nature; the soaring, hopeful melodies and the dark, wailing laments have are my comfort zone with the instrument. I tend to gravitate to lyrical, melodic phrases.
That being said, I am also extremely open to experimentation and have come to enjoy bringing in new techniques and effects to my playing. There are few genres that I am not willing to wade into.
My classical training is a strong compliment to my somewhat curious nature, and most collaborators will find it refreshingly easy to work with me to bring their musical vision to life with the cello.

A Bit About Me
I grew up in San Antonio, Texas and began playing cello in the 5th grade After School Strings Program, led by the amazing Elaine Heinze (a true juggernaut in Texas strings education for decades). Soon after, I began studying with Ken Ishii, whose cello studio has produced many fine professional cellists. Importantly, Mr. Ishii was an avid performer of jazz and contemporary genres. This was a pivotal experience that led me to continue studying the cello through grade school, and eventually at university before pursuing a career in the military and aerospace.
I continued to perform with a number of small ensembles, symphonies, and individual artists over the years across both Texas and Alabama. Today, I am ecstatic to be back home in Texas building new relationships with Dallas-Fort Worth musicians and serving a wonderful local community with a vibrant arts scene.
When I am not on a stage or in the studio, you can find me riding one of my motorcycles or taking my Jeep on a new adventure. I also like to dabble in photography and graphic design to scratch the creative itch with different media. Additionally, I am an active mentor for military veterans transitioning into the civilian industry and women in aerospace engineering.
